Prospective Students will receive e-mail notification from the Admissions Office once their financial aid package has been put together by their Specialist in the Financial Aid Office. This e-mail will contain information regarding the steps students need to take to view and accept their awards online through ORU's VISION System.
Most financial aid packages contain aid from several different sources, such as Federal grants and loans, scholarships from ORU and outside sources, and a work-study job.
Before you can receive an award package at ORU, you first have to be fully accepted as a degree-seeking student, and the Financial Aid Office has to receive the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the Department of Education. You will then receive the e-mail notification that your Award Letter is ready to access on VISION. You will need to indicate whether you wish to accept or decline each award, and the results will be sent to the Financial Aid Office.
If you have received notification that your award package is ready for viewing on VISION, please follow these steps to access your account:

Please enter your social security number as the User ID and enter your birth date (mmddyy) as the PIN.

Click on the heading "Student Services and Financial Aid"

If any documents are needed, they should be hyperlinked to the appropriate form on the Forms Page for downloading (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the necessary forms). Financial Aid packages will not be mailed out to current or prospective students during the 2004-2005 school year. If you do not have reliable access to the internet at home, please visit your local library to access your account online.
